River Thames and Houses of Parliament
September 23rd 2008 03:29
True confessions, I have not ridden the giant Ferris Wheel - ski gondola hybrid called the London Eye. I love aerial views, but I have this really bad fear of falling off the edges of things, so ... not number one on my list of tourist attractions.
"Everyone" raves about it, though.
See how the Houses of Parliament seem to be the wall of the River Thames? One wonders if deep dark intrigue happens below water level.
Almost has a Venetian feel. I recommend getting a boat ride on the Thames (there are many offered). Things look different from the water.
