Agatha Christie Lived Here...South Kensington
September 24th 2008 23:55
Agatha Christie was a prolific writer whose mystery stories are still popular on TV decades after her death. Her play The Mousetrap has broken records for longest-running stage play.
Miss Christie lived in a variety of houses. This one is in South Kensington, at 22 Cresswell Place and is marked with a Blue Plaque. It appears to be privately owned and probably occupied by a family who don't want to hear another word about Hercule Poirot, the famous Belgian detective created by Dame Agatha.
The house looks like a place where Christie's other well-known puzzle solver, Miss Marple, would have felt right at home. Lace curtains, one imagines doilies and an air of refinement within. We'll never know.

Yes, indeed, Agatha's mysteries and the MYSTERY of Agatha's disappearance for a while, strange that, I'm sure the old bard would like it, omens and strange happenings afoot, sort of thing, and of course, the weather.
Keep up the good work Jill.
Quite the country hopper aren't we? but let me warn you the world financial crisis may well put a stop to such things, we shall see, never mind what the experts say, they got us into this mess in the first place.
